Sustainability at CBE

Building responsibly, today, tomorrow, always.

At CBE, we believe that building for the future means being responsible with the present. Sustainability isn’t a trend or a tick-box — it’s a mindset. It’s part of every decision we make, from the materials we choose to the way we manufacture, install, and deliver every project.

Our goal is simple: reduce waste, reuse where possible, and create high-impact spaces that leave a light footprint.

Whether it’s a one-off custom build or a long-term modular system, we’re proud to deliver exhibition stands and interior environments that combine performance, durability, and sustainability.

How we approach

Reusable, Modular Sustainable Design

Certifications & Continuous Improvement

We’re actively pursuing recognised environmental certifications and aligning with ISO 14001 standards. But it doesn’t stop there. Our sustainability approach is about real action and measurable progress, not just paperwork.

Reusable, Modular Design

Not every project should start from scratch. In fact, our modular exhibition stands and fit-out systems are designed to be reused, reconfigured, and repurposed, again and again.

In-House Production = Lower Emissions

At CBE, everything happens under one roof. From concept and CAD drawings to joinery, graphics, large-format print, and final install,  it’s all managed by our in-house team.

Reducing Carbon Footprint

Inspired by partners like Hanson Plywood; who recycle over 86% of their operational waste, , and have made significant investments in solar energy, we’re making smarter decisions every day.

Responsible Sourcing

We prioritise ethical materials from suppliers who share our environmental values.

All of our wood is sourced from Hanson Plywood, one of the UK’s most respected timber suppliers. Their environmental policy is focused on sustainable forest products, renewable resources, and full legal verification of timber origin.

They maintain third-party certifications including:

  • FSC® – Forest Stewardship Council

  • PEFC – Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification

  • FLEGT – Forest Law Enforcement, Governance and Trade

Hanson Plywood operates under a certified chain of custody, ensuring that every panel, board and structure we use supports sustainable forestry, ethical trade, and transparent sourcing.
